My strategy is built to ensure I solve 95% of the puzzles in 4 guesses or less.
It is not built to always shoot for the lowest score possible.
The score depends a lot on the seed word.

Target Word: FAULT
Typical Wordle Word Construct: 2 Vowels and one compound consonant (2 letters or 3 letters; seen with >50% frequency)
Today’s Wordle Word Construct: Typical; 2 vowels (A and U), 1 compound consonant (LT)
# Of Guesses: 4.0 WordleBot average per Marc McLaren*; 4 for WordleGuru

Seed Word: SOARE
Seed Word Revelations: 1 vowel (A), but not its exact position
# Of Possible Solutions after the Seed Word: Too many

Second Word: UNITY; most of the Wordle words have 2 vowels.  Therefore, I needed to search for the second vowel, if there is one.  The standard go to word for this is UNITY (after SOARE as the seed word). 
Revelations from the 2^nd word: one vowel (U) and 1 consonant (T) but not their exact positions.
# Of Possible Solutions after the Second Word: 7 including 1 set of orthographic neighbor words, VAULT, FAULT, HAULT.  The other 4 words are ADULT, GAMUT, KAPUT and DATUM.

I had to start employing my EnotE strategy. I was quite sure that the target word will be one of the orthographic neighbor words, based on history. I could not think of a word that would eliminate 6 of the 7. So, I had to prioritize the elimination of the 3 orthographic neighbor words in the choice of the elimination word.  The elimination word I came up with is THIEF.  I wanted to use one of the three orthographic words as the elimination word (gives me a chance to solve the puzzle right here), but it wouldn’t have covered all of the remaining for words.

Third Word: THIEF; it did the job and led me to the target word – FAULT.

EnotE (Eliminate-not-Enumerate) Strategy deployment: This Wordle is a good example of the power of the EnotE strategy.

Final thoughts: WordleGod was at it again, picking one of the orthographic neighbor words as the target word.
