Today’s Wordle:
Target Word: GUPPY
# Of Guesses: 4.4 WordleBot average per Marc McLaren*, 4 for WordleGuru.  😊

Seed Word: ROATE: Back to the first word of the triad – ROATE/SULCI/NYMPH.
What we learned from the Seed Word: No revelations.  Still useful to know the absence of the five most frequent letters.

2nd Word: SULCI: 2nd word of the triad. More than 25 possible words. Need to deploy the EnotE© strategy. Chose the third word of the triad as the elimination word. Expected that more than one possible word will still be left to be dealt, since NYMPH could not have eliminated all but 1 possibility.

3rd Word: NYMPH: It worked beautifully by eliminating all but three words.  Except that the three words happen to be orthographic neighbor words – [GUPPY, PUPPY and YUPPY]. ☹

I don’t remember many Wordle words with three copies of the same consonant. Also, I didn’t think YUPPY is a commonly used word. This left GUPPY as the only option. Luckily it worked for me. Otherwise, today’s score could easily have been five or six.  Phew!!!

Final Thoughts: Wordle is a game of luck and skill. Sometimes luck favors the game and sometimes it favors the player. Today luck was on my side. 😊
