I Have been using the ROATE/SULCI/NYMPH triad for quite a while.  I wanted to use a different triad just for a change. Today’s triad is RATIO/CLUES/ PUDGY.

Today’s Wordle:
Target Word: JAZZY (Typical – 2 vowels,1 compound/ paired consonants) [typical – 2 vowels, 1 compound/paired consonant]
# Of Guesses: 5.5 WordleBot average per Marc McLaren*, 4 for WordleGuru. 😊

Seed Word: RATIO: first word of today’s triad – RATIO/CLUES/PUDGY.
What we learned from the Seed Word: One vowel (A) in the 2^nd position. Since most of the Wordle words have two vowels, I needed to search for additional vowels.

2^nd Guess: CLUES: I picked the 2^nd word of the triad – CLUES.  It didn’t reveal any letters!  ☹ We had to keep looking for additional vowels and consonants.

3^rd Word: PUDGY: After the first two words I was pretty sure the last letter is a Y, for two reasons – 1) most of the Wordle words have two vowels, counting Y as a vowel and 2) Y has not been used since May 4^th. On average Y is expected every 8th game. Since PUDGY has Y in the 5^th position, I picked it as the 3^rd guess.

At this stage four possible answers – JAZZY, NANNY, HAMMY and FANNY.  In my opinion – HAMMY and FANNY are not frequently used.  So, it came down to JAZZY or NANNY. Since not many English words have the same consonant appearing three times, I bet on JAZZY. Luckily it worked. Luck was on my side today. 😊

Final Thoughts: Wordle is a game of luck and skill. Sometimes luck favors the game and sometimes it favors the player. Today luck was in my favor. 😊
