A proposal for a Wordle scoring system modeled after the scoring system used in golf

The golf scoring system is centered on the concept of “par”.  A typical golf course has 18 holes with a par of 72.  What this means is that a good golf player is expected to play all the 18 holes in 72 shots.  This equates to an average of 4 per hole, though there are par-3 holes and par-5 holes also. But par ratings for the 18 holes add up to 72 (for most typical golf courses). A par-3 hole requires 3 strokes from a good golf player.  Similarly, a par-5 hole requires 5 strokes from a good golf player.

Per Marc McLaren*, the average score from the day-1 as reported by NYT’s WordleBot is 4.1 We can round it down to 4.  This fits nicely with the terminology used in golf.  Some of the other terminology used in golf is as follows (for a par-4 hole):
Ace                               Hole in one!
Eagle                            Hole in two strokes (2 below par)
Birdie                           Hole in three strokes (1 below par)
Par                               Hole in four strokes (par)
Bogey                          Hole in five strokes (1 above par)
Double Bogey             Hole in six strokes (2 above par)

I will be using this terminology in the daily Wordle Bulletin I write.

Your comments are appreciated.
