Wordle #864 (October 31, 023) – NY Times WordleBot score: 4.0
Triad: STARE/COLIN/PUDGY

Tactics for today’s Wordle: After the seed word, which revealed the presence of two vowels (A&E), but not their positions, I chose a non-triad word as the second guess – CLEAN. It has three high frequency consonants and the previously revealed two vowels (E&A) but in different positions. At this point in time, 3 possible solutions – PLEAD, BLEAK, and GLEAM. The frequency data and usage data pointed to BLEAK.  Fortunately, it was the answer. 😊

Triad: STARE/COLIN/PUDGY

Tactics for today’s Wordle: after the two words of the triad, three possible solutions- FLAIR, FRAIL, and GRAIL. Used FLAIR as the elimination word based upon usage. Unfortunately, it was not the target word, but it led to the target word.
