Tactics for today’s Wordle: after the first two words from the triad, five possibilities- GENIE, INDIE, BINGE, DINGE, and HINGE. Frequency and usage data was in favor of BINGE.  Luckily it proved to be the answer. 😊

Wordle #838 (October 5, 2023) – NY Times WordleBot score: 4.3
Triad: SLATE/RHINO/PUDGY

Tactics for today’s Wordle: the seed word didn’t reveal any letters. So, I chose a different word for the second guess- IRONY instead of the second word of the triad (RHINO) since IRONY has three vowels. IRONY revealed only one letter but not its position. However, after these two words only four possibilities remained. Unfortunately, these were orthographic neighbor words. PUNCH, MUNCH, HUNCH, and BUNCH.

At this point in time, I had two options. Either play conservatively and deploy the EnotE© strategy using an appropriate elimination word (BUMPY) or select from the 4 possibilities based on frequency and usage data. I chose the latter option. Fortunately for me it worked. 😊😊

As we know, Wordle is a game of skill and luck.

Wordle #835 (October 2, 2023) – NY Times WordleBot score: 4.4
Triad: SLATE/RHINO/PUDGY

Tactics for today’s Wordle: after the seed word used a different word (CHURN)  than the second word of the triad (RHINO). At this stage, 9 possibilities.  Applied the EnotE©  strategy using the elimination word – BUMFS.   It eliminated seven of the nine leaving me with two – EMERY and MERRY. Chose Merry based on frequency and usage.  Luckily it worked.😊
