Wordle Bulletin # 503 (November 4, 2022)

My strategy is built to ensure I solve 95% of the puzzles in 4 guesses or less. It is not built to always shoot for the lowest score possible. The score depends a lot on the seed word. Wordle is a game of luck and skill.

Target Word: PHOTO
Typical Wordle Word Construct
: 2 Vowels and one compound/paired consonant (2 letters or 3 letters; seen with >50% frequency)
Today’s Wordle Word Construct: Typical; 2 Vowels (O and O), One compound consonant (PH)
# Of Guesses:  3.7 WordleBot average per Marc McLaren*; 3 for WordleGuru

Seed Word: LATER; I am rotating the seed word among my go-to words with two vowels. These are. ALERT/LATER (anagrams), SALET, ROAST, and LOSER.
Seed Word Revelations: one consonant (T) but not its position; no vowels.
# Of Possible Solutions after the seed word: too many

Second Word: SONIC; I needed to search for additional vowels.  Since U is the lowest frequency vowel, I chose not to include it in the second word.  I had a hunch that there is no Y.
Second Word Revelations: 1 vowel (O) but not its position; no consonant
# Of Possible Solutions after the second word: Two – PHOTO and OUGHT.   Based on frequencies, I picked PHOTO, and it led me to the answer – PHOTO.

Final thoughts:  Wordle is a game of luck and skill. So much depends on the seed word.  LadyLuck was on my side today. WordleGod was nowhere to be found today.
