Wordle Bulletin #703 (May23, 2023) — “life is great when there is only 1 possible answer!”
Today’s Wordle:
Target Word: CLERK (Atypical –1 vowel, 2 compound consonants) [typical – 2 vowels, 1 compound/paired consonant]
# Of Guesses: 3.6 WordleBot average per Marc McLaren*, 3 for WordleGuru 😊
Seed Word: ROATE: first word of the triad – ROATE/SULCI/NYMPH.
What we learned from the Seed Word: Presence of 1 consonant (R) and 1vowel (E) but not their positions. Since most of the Wordle words have 2 vowels, we needed to search for additional vowels.
2nd Word: SULCI: 2nd word of the triad. It revealed the presence of 2 consonants (L and C) but not their positions. At this stage there were two possibilities (CREEL and CLERK), but only one commonly used word – CLERK. 😊 😊.
Final Thoughts: Wordle is a game of luck and skill. Sometimes luck favors the game and sometimes it favors the player. Today luck was not a factor.
