Wordle Bulletin #665 (April 15, 2023) — “4’s are my destiny!”
Today’s Wordle:
Target Word: AGONY

Seed Word: STARE – The “go-to” seed word starting March 8, 2023.
What we learned from the Seed Word: The seed word revealed one vowel (A) but not its position. Too many possibilities at this stage. Need more exploration.
2nd word: COLIN: (2nd word in my “go-to” triad — STARE/COLIN/PUDGY). It revealed one consonant (N) and one vowel (O), but not their positions. At this stage six possibilities – AGONY, AMONG, ANNOY, MANGO, NABOB, and NOMAD. Time to deploy the EnotE© strategy.
3rd word: MIDGY: It proved to be the ideal elimination word. It eliminated 5 of the 6 and led to the answer – AGONY.
The seed word (STARE) and the second word (COLIN) represent the 10 most frequent letters in the Wordle-words to-date. The 3rd word (PUDGY) represents 5 of the next 6 highest frequency letters (11-16).
Final Thoughts: Wordle is a game of luck and skill. Sometimes luck favors the game and sometimes it favors the player. Today luck was in my favor.
