Wordle Bulletin #624 (March 5, 2023) — “I can get used to 3’s!”
Good to see another 3 after yesterday’s 3. 😊😊
Today’s Wordle:
Target Word: TOXIC
# Of Guesses: 4.1 WordleBot average per Marc McLaren*, 3 for WordleGuru. 😊
Typical or atypical target word? — Atypical, it contains 2 vowels (O, I) but no compound consonants. The “norm” is 2 vowels and 1 compound/paired consonant.
Seed Word: STAIR – The “go-to” seed word starting March 1, 2023.
What we learned from the Seed Word: The seed word revealed 2 letters – I in the 4th position and T without its position. Too many possibilities at this stage. Need more discovery.
2nd word: CLONE (the 2nd word of the go to pair STAIR/CLONE): Only 3 possibilities at this stage – OPTIC, TOXIC and TOPIC.
3rd word: Any of the 3 words would serve the purpose of an elimination word. My gutfeel was driving towards TOXIC, while data was pointing towards TOPIC. I decided to let my gutfeel take precedence today. Got lucky. 😊
Final thoughts: Wordle is a game of luck and skill. Sometimes luck favors the game and sometimes it favors the player. Today luck was on my side.
