Today’s Wordle: COVET (Atypical)

NYT WordleBot average score: 4.1 (per Marc McLaren*)
WordleGuru score:  3 😊

Seed Word: ALTER: It is the first word of the triad – ALTER/SONIC/PUDGY

2nd Word: SONIC:  It is the second word of the triad. I call it a “scouting” word.
Reason for selection: A typical Wordle word has 2 vowels. Since the seed word revealed only 1 vowel (E in the 4th position), I needed to search for additional vowels.
What we learned: SONIC did the job by revealing the vowel “O” in the second position. Additionally, it revealed the presence of the consonant “C”, but not its position. At this stage there are only 2 possibilities – COVET and COMET.

3rd Word: COVET: I used frequency data to select between COVET and COMET. Luckily it worked.  Won the coin toss. 😊
